  out of 5 stars Thirteenth Floor Elevators - 'Psychedelic Circus' Another worthy 13th Floor Elevators compilation CD. As always, it's nice to hear such gems like "You're Gonna Miss Me", the wailing "Tried To Hide". the rocking "Monkey Island". My personal TFE favorite "She Lives in A Time of Her Own" and "I've Got Levitation"/5(3).

  There are lots of dodgey collections of 13th Floor Elevators material crowding the marketplace, and despite the presence of the Houston recordings, some silly cover graphics and an even sillier title, Psychedelic Circus, makes a legitimate attempt to do right by the legacy of this important band, and the presence of the San Francisco 7/

  The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators is the debut studio album by the 13th Floor vandebarunremul.tiaphabedihdezilteraterteveket.co album's sound, featuring elements of psychedelia, garage rock, folk, and blues, is notable for its use of the electric jug, as featured on the band's only hit, "You're Gonna Miss Me", which reached number 55 on the Billboard Charts with "Tried to Hide" as a B-side.

  The 13th Floor Elevators were a true psychedelic rock band,when psychedelic didn't refer to an ambiguous fashion,but to true LSD culture. Coming out of the garage rock movement in Texas,Roky Erickson,Stacy Sutherland,Tommy Hall and the rest of the band quickly rose to local and then (for a minute) national prominence before burning out/5(3).
